5 years = 29 pounds

This time 5 years ago, I was at my lowest weight in my post-high school life. Today I am 5 pounds under my heaviest weight (about 6.5 years ago). The weight crept back up slowly, but surely the first 4 years, but this last year, it has jumped up to my current weight - 179.4... eeek. Typing that number scares me a little. Telling you scares me a little.

But today I started a new food plan. Five small meals a day, 3 liters of water, 20 minutes of exercise and some other miscellaneous things. (I'm following the book "The Ga.me O.n! Diet") It's a game and my husband and my BFF and her husband are all playing with me. It's the wives versus the husbands. In 8 weeks, we'll see who wins!!!

I hope to lose 10 pounds.

  1. Good luck Ali! Weight gains are always terrifying and I'm right there with ya. 2 years ago when I started TTC I was at my lowest post-marriage weight and wearing a size 4 or 6. This morning, the suit I will wear to work is a size 12 ... petite.
    I'm embarrased too.

  2. If it makes you feel any better, a few months ago, I was heavier than that. I'm stuck at 171. I was also a lot smaller a few years ago. I hope your game goes well and that you win!
