Ummm, first, I have a new diagnosis - PC.OS. My doc seemed very calm and nonchalant about the whole thing. She said it's why I have oily skin and occasional acne, why I have problems losing weight, and the irregular cycles. She said since I've already responded well to Clo.mid, that it shouldn't play too much a part in me conceiving using ART.
Today is CD16 of my current cycle. I will have CD3 b/w done and then an HSG (yuck!!). I will go in for a follow-up and "regrouping" appointment in 4 weeks (from today!). We will then proceed with the I.U.I in the following cycle (that cycle *should* start around Nov-8).
I will take 50mg of Clo.mid (really wish she would have prescribed 100, but she *is* the doc), and then they'll do an U/S on day 12/13 and then trigger (I get to join that club too!). It's kinda funny, I already have all the prescriptions for it all. I couldn't believe it when she handed it all to me. I need to find a really safe place for all of it so I don't lose it in the next 6 weeks.
Wow... only 6 weeks and we will finally have a REAL chance of me getting PG!!!!
I'll bet you are so glad to have finally had that appt. Awesome! And don't worry too much about the HSG; I was expecting holy hell after what others had told me. I took 800mg of Ibuprofen beforehand, and it was really no more painful than the IUIs I have had. A little cramping, but nothing to write home about. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for you! New dx's are crappy, but at least they also bring new answers with them...and a more custom-crafted action plan! Hope this 6 weeks flies by! WooHoo!
ReplyDeleteVery excited for you Ali :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that your first appointment went great and that you now have a plan to work with. This is great news!
