3w 2d

Twenty-three days and counting! Yep, we're now down to less than 4 weeks to the initial RE appointment. I've gone to their website and downloaded all the new patient forms they require. I don't think I even know all of the family medical history they want to know.

And I'm not sure it's all that pertinent since my husband has no sperm, and we know Clo.mid works to get me ovulating.

There's not too much I need them to do except for IUI or IVF. Basically it's turkey baster or test tube for me.

  1. Hi, I just found you from LFCA and wanted to welcome you to the blog world! I have been skimming through your blog and wanted to introduce myself. I have a blog that went PWP when we decided to use donor sperm. We are now the proud parents of an 18 month old son from DI. I've been where you are and I know how hard it can be. I look forward to following your story and if you are interested in reading mine feel free to e-mail me at somewhatordinary at gmail dot com.

  2. Hi Alison - Like Somewhat Ordinary, I just found you today in the LFCA and wanted to say hello. I'm another one who used donor sperm and I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant after our 6th dIUI cycle was successful. I want you to know that you are definitely not alone in processing all the emotions and experiences that go along with deciding to use donor sperm - and anytime you want to talk or ask questions, I'm here, either by email or through my blog.

Take care and I wish you all the best as you go forward on this journey!

  3. Hi Alison! Welcome to IF blogging. I totally understand that excitement to get to the first RE appointment -- I had a ticker to countdown on my blog. :) I hope your RE is a great fit for you and you are able to get moving on treatments!

  4. I remember the wait for that first RE appt....and also thinking that I'd be able to go in, say I needed IVF, lets get this party started!!!

Unfort. it didn't work that way. They still had tests they wanted to run just to make sure everything checked out A-OK!

Remember to take it all one day at a time. You'll have good and bad days.
I hope you have a successful appt with the RE and get started ASAP!!!!!!
