I believe in magic!

So I've always heard of this mystical thing called the Second Trimester. Where Morning Sickness disappears and Energy reappears!

And i have to say - it's true!!

I am now on day 4 with no morning sickness whatsoever. And I've only taken ONE nap this week and it's more because I had a headache than *needing* it! This is marvelous! As of Monday (12w5d) I was officially done with it. But waited until today to call it just in case it was a fluke.

Today is my first real day *IN* the 2T. Wow!

We have a family wedding to go to at the end of February and I was counting up how far along I'd be by then (and hopefully showing by then!) and figured out that: 1) I'll be 16 weeks on the 16th and 2) I'll be more than 4 months along at the wedding. Months - I can really count this pregnancy in months!

I go in for my next OB appt next Wednesday (look at smarty me only booking it 3 weeks out instead of 4 - it's already killing me that I haven't seen Little Bird in over 2 weeks!!).

I have so much more that I wanted to say, but can't for the life of me remember now what it was all about. I've been having lots of "Pregnesia." And on top of stealing brain cells, LB has only drained my creativity - I don't know how I'll work come July!

  1. Oh, I'm so glad you're having a great 2nd trimester. I never felt much better during the 2nd trimester (the "morning" sickness went away but the tiredness never did) and I was pretty disappointed about it. I hope the energy keeps up!

  4. I'm so glad that you are feeling better :) That is welcome news, I'm sure.
And the pregnesia ... my brain still hasn't come back. It's scary. I think it was at it's peak the week I was in the hospital ... like I was walking around and someone sucked out my brains. Unfortunately I'm not sure if that's something that gets better with time. Or at least it hasn't happened (yet) for me.

  6. YAY for 2T! I don't think I ever got rid of my exhaustion. Glad to hear you are slowly getting your energy back. I hear you should enjoy it because it definitely goes away in the 3T.

  8. DHA pills helped a lot for my pregnancy brain (I couldn't afford to lose any more brain cells, I have too few already, hehe).

Congrats on the second trimester! Enjoy it while it lasts!
