One of the best things about becoming an adult has been that the summer no longer ends when school starts. Which in my part of the universe is mid-August. One of the worst parts about no longer being a student though? No Spring Break.
I'm serious, thank goodness f.b was still for kids when I first got out of college. I graduated in December and went to work at my first real full-time career job at the beginning of February. And then March hit and everybody was out for Spring Break and I had no vacation for the first year of employment. Fortunately for me, I had 13 bank holidays + a birthday holiday. I also took a couple days unpaid that first summer near my birthday. It was worth it and come to think of it, I don't think my boss docked me those days.
But now that I'm a stay-at-home wife & freelancer... all my days run together. And for me, the summer doesn't end until the temps drop below 70. Which in my town isn't until November. But I will say that more of you are reading! I had a bit of a summer lull and while *someone* read my little corner of the internets everyday, some days you were a lone reader. Except that that probably isn't true because Go.ogle An.alytics doesn't take into account those "readers" I am on. I don't write for an audience much, but I do try to keep in mind that this isn't just my journal and therefore try and maintain some sort of interest.
I read you in Google reader and often come back later, when I have time to comment. I love your writing!!! xo
