Prodded, not Poked

7:45 am: Went in for my initial IUI u/s this morning. Six baby follies measuring in the 10-11mm range.

1:20pm: Nurse calls to tell me that my doctor has canceled this cycle. She just doesn't think my follies would be big enough by Monday. We under-stimmed. Upping the 'mid next cycle to 100mg. Crying ensues.

Cycle 19 scheduled to begin Dec. 22. Isn't that funny. I started this cycle's Clom!d on Thanksgiving Day, and will start next cycle's on Christmas Day. Just my luck.

  1. So sorry about your cycle being cancelled-that's the worst!! My last cycle was cancelled due to the timing of Thanksgiving and it looks like Christmas may pose the same challenge for us. Darn holiday!!

  2. I'm so sorry Alison! That's gotta be so tough! At least you can get started again soon and they RE knows how to stim the follies better this time around! :-( (((HUGS)))

  5. So sorry this cysle got cancelled Alison! But then I think it's good of your RE to cancel rather than do it anyways if she thinks it's not going to work this time. I hope everything will be ideal in the next cycle!
I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

  6. What crummy news! At least you are still on the right track and now have a better plan for next cycle. Still, it's crummy. I think you should treat yourself to something you really enjoy, be it a special dessert, a fun girlie movie (maybe The Holiday or Love Actually) or whatever. Take a little time. And, remain hopeful!
