Five little monkeys jumpin' on the bed...

Well, my five little monkeys are still hangin' in there!

The run-down:
1 - 5-cell, grade 4*
1 - 3-cell, grade 4
3 - 2-cell, grades 3-5 (there is no 1 or 2 for 2-cell and 5 isn't bad for this stage)

*If you haven't done this before, the quality of the embies is ranked 1-5, 1 being perfect, five have some pretty bad fragmentation

Both my 5 & 3 have some fragmentation, but the lab tech said there's nothing to worry about. The 3 2-cell embies look really, really good, so they are hoping that they might catch up. They are just slow-growing and could definitely be freeze-worthy by Monday or Tuesday, we'll just have to wait and see.

My ET is tomorrow (Saturday) morning at 8. We 'll see then how much growth occured today and which embies are best to put back in.

The best thing, was the tech I talked to today was VERY positive and encouraging, repeating to me how I am the very best incubator for my babies and that a Day 3 transfer was absolutely not an indicator that my chances were any different for becoming pregnant! She said that if they could know which embies were best within 24 hours of ER, then they'd be doing the ET then because the best conditions for them are definitely in the momma's ute!

My babies are growing strong and God is holding them - what more could I ask for?

  1. When God is holding you there is nothing better!

  2. Thinking positive thoughts for you!

ETA: Word verification was 'hellya' Seems pretty appropriate!

  3. Wow! You've got a 5 and a 3 cell? That's really awesome Ali! The 5 cell is really good for day 2!

    Thinking of you tomorrow.

  4. Yippee! Congrats! So excited for your transfer tomorrow!

  5. So glad you're feeling better! Your embies sound like they're rockin'! FWIW, just wanted to pass along a story of a friend of mine who just delivered her daughter right before LMH. She was a poor responder. Ended up with only two eggs, two embies, transferred both, one took...and Z is the result!

Hang in're doing GREAT! :-) Thinking of you tomorrow!

  6. Wishing you all the best and can't wait for your next post. I am going to be starting the process by next week and have found your blog to be very informative. Keep us posted :)

  7. Grow Babies Grow!

This is so totally your time Alison. love you -Foxy

  8. That is wonderful that the nurse is so positive and encouraging--things like that help so much! I'm really excited for you and hope this cycle is an awesome success. Everything crossed for you, girl!

  9. Good luck to you! My ET was on Friday. We had 5, were able to put 2 in and freeze 1. Hope we both end up with amazing news!!
