I'm so stinkin' excited! I've lost 3 pounds in two weeks!! And I won the game this week - woo hoo!!!!
One of the girls playing never enters her week's scores until the last minute. She forgot this week claiming that she thought she had until noon (it's on the score card itself that it's 10am CST). BUT, before declaring myself winner, I entered in a "perfect" week of scores, minus the stuff she had told me she did wrong and I would have beaten her anyway by several points. She swears she's quitting, but I don't think she's really playing anyway, so it doesn't really matter.
My third friend and I are having fun trying to beat each other and it's just enough incentive that I'm sticking with it.
We have 2 weeks left. I told them already that while I am going to try and stick to the eating/exercising plan after that, that I can't officially compete b/c of the getting ready for and the actual IVF process. I just think it'll be too much to try and worry about obeying the rules of the game while going through IVF. And, hello, from what I've heard, I'm going to gain weight (if at *least* bloating) during the process, so why would I want to set myself up for failure? Ummmm, no thank you.
Oh, and about my last post on TV - so glad some of you are big Grey's fans!!! All of my IRL friends have stopped watching and I love it and now I can discuss it with you guys!!!
As to the new header, I was never really happy with the last one, but I had promised myself I would stop changing the design so often - but after 3 months, I just didn't like even looking at my own page anymore. So I combo'd a little and went back to my beginner blog days and brought back the pearls. I think I'm happy with it, so it should stay until the new year+.

Final Weigh-In
Eight pounds in eight weeks. Exactly - 179.4 down to 171.4!!!
The official game is over this round for the holidays. We plan on starting a new game (probably adding in some new players) right after the first of the year. I would love to lose another 8 (or 15).
I'll post an "after" picture later this week. Forgot to have my husband take it this weekend and he's travelling on business this week.
I'm staying on the eating plan this week, too. But more of the "maintenance" part of it than the "actively losing" part of it.

A little early present
And? I went shopping because Red.book magazine recommended these pants for girls with hip-py issues. They really did look good... esp since I got to buy a size smaller!!!

Stunted Growth
Week 5 of the diet game began yesterday. And even though I had stellar results the first 2 weeks, weeks 3 & 4 have left a little to be desired. I've only lost a half pound both weeks.
A combined 4-week weight loss of 4.8 pounds. I would have liked to seen a bigger number by now. I'm not sure I'm going to meet my 10-pound goal. I'm going to try REALLY hard this week though to pull off another 1% loss - 1.74 pounds.
And now, back to what this blog is really supposed to be about: TTC. AF should arrive by Friday. Send me all your "AF-come-on-time" vibes, please!!!

Deck the Halls!
Only 49 more shopping days til Christmas! Normally, I'm finished by now. Yep, I'm that person that drives most people crazy because I do all my shopping in the summer and early fall. I will be wrapping soon enough.
But, I only do it because we not only have the family Christmas to buy for, we also have both of my parent's birthdays just before Christmas, and my husband's dad and brother just after. Our budget would go red if I waited until the holidays to shop.
I will also brag a little, and tell you that I am a master bargain shopper. I *hardly ever* buy anything full price! Not if I can help it at all!
Everyone but my BIL and dad are bought for. BIL is my husband's problem. I take care of both his parents, the least he can do is pick out his own brother's Christmas gift. My dad is always hard to buy for. The things he needs/wants are just a little too out of our gift budget. And I get tired of buying gift cards. But this year, he's got a new book series he wants. I went to the bookstore and scoped out the prices. Came home and E.Bay'd ... got them *new* for less than half the price. Even with shipping I was able to get him all 3 he wants for just over half of what 2 would have cost me at the bookstore. AND I still have money in the budget to pick him up a dozen of his favorite golf balls! Yay!!
On the weight-loss front: another .8 lost!! (Total-to-date: 4.8 in just 2.5 weeks!)
On the TTC/IF front: follow-up with the RE tomorrow at 11

Kicker of the day: Walgre.ens had it in my file that I was pg, therefore when I picked up my rx today, I had to talk to the pharmacist again about why I was taking that particular med. Fortunately, when I explained my situation, she said she'd take that off their record for me.

Brave or Stupid?
I was originally going to post my before pictures. But I've chickened out of that. Instead, I'm posting my "Before" silhouette. I think you'll get the idea without seeing too much of me! I can camouflage my extra poundage in clothes much easier. These pics were taken with me in bra and workout shorts (that's why me leg looks a little weird at the bottom, it's really the end of my shorts).

Love/Hate Relationship
I've always had a love/hate relationship with water. I loved to hate it.
But after 4 days of THE DIET and drinking ONLY water (3 stinking liters a day!!!)... I got to drink a di.et c.oke tonight at dinner (today is our free day). I took one sip - and that was about it. It was so incredible SWEET! And kinda yucky!
Now, this is coming from the girl who used to hook up her daily Die.t Co.ke IV!
I never thought I'd see a day where I thought DC was yucky. Ever. I'm not necessarily upset by this, just HUGELY surprised. But that is part of THE DIET... getting you over the sweet tooth.
AND, after my 20-minute work-out tonight, all I could think was, "I need water!" That thought has never, ever crossed my mind before.
For the record, I did drink my 3L today, even though I didn't have to. I'm pretty darned proud of me!
